Kindermusik Over the Mountain
This year, Kindermusik Over the Mountain received the Parents' Choice Award and was voted Birmingham's favorite mommy and me program.
In the past three years, Kindermusik Over the Mountain has been recognized as a Kindermusik Maestro Program by Kindermusik International. Maestros make up the top 5% of Kindermusik teachers internationally based on the number of children taught.
About Jill ...
I have been a licensed Kindermusik teacher since 2004 when I started teaching at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. I started my own Kindermusik business in Birmingham in January 2007. I initially had classes at Liberty Park Baptist Church, then expanded to offer classes through the Hunter Street Arts Academy at Hunter Street Baptist Church and Dawson Memorial's Music Academy.
I'm a graduate of Samford University where I received a journalism degree and a minor in flute performance. My husband and I were happy to move back to Birmingham after several years away.
We have two children, Jackson and Ella. Jackson is a Kindermusik graduate (now in seventh grade), and Ella is in the third grade.
I have found through my own children the great impact music (and specifically Kindermusik) has on children's education, motor skills, social skills and coordination.
